My Story

Hi there! I’m the librarian behind The Laidback Librarian—where books are loved, lessons are engaging, and we keep things just the right amount of organized chaos!

I’m an elementary school media specialist with over 20 years of experience helping students discover new stories, explore big ideas, and (occasionally) remember where they left their library books. Spoiler alert: it’s usually in their desk… or under their bed.

Some people stumble into the library world—I happily settled in and never left.

Over the years, I’ve learned that the library is so much more than shelves and checkouts. It’s a space where:
